MEQUON, Wis. - A first-half goal from
Heather Hoffmann lifted the Elmhurst women's soccer team to a 1-0 road victory over Concordia University (Wis.).
Elmhurst improved to 8-4 overall while Concordia slipped to 6-4-3 on the year.
Hoffmann scored in the 15th minute of action, heading home a cross from
Bri Gerardi to account for the game's only goal.
Elmhurst outshot Concordia 13-10 in the victory despite Concordia holding an 8-4 edge, in corner kicks.
Sophia Tuliglowski notched the shutout in goal for Elmhurst, stopping all seven shots she faced in the contest. Tabitha Ortiz took the loss for Concordia, allowing one goal while recording seven saves.
Elmhurst plays at Carthage College on October 18.
