ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Ellen Brown scored the Elmhurst women's lacrosse team's lone goal in a 19-1 road loss at Augustana College.

Augustana (14-1, 5-0 CCIW) scored the game's first nine goals in a 12-minute span to race out in front. Brown tallied the Bluejays' goal with 15:49 remaining in the first half, but the Vikings scored the final five goals of the half to build a 14-1 cushion at halftime.
The Vikings tacked on five goals in the second half while pulling away for the 18-goal victory.
Grace Knoebel recorded nine saves in goal for the Bluejays in the loss.

Augustana outshot Elmhurst 32-5 in the contest and had a 20-15 edge in ground balls. The Vikings dominated on draw controls, holding a 17-3 edge over the Bluejays.
Kendall Maduro, Anne Hopkins and Emily Handrahan powered the Vikings offense. Maduro and Hopkins totaled four goals apiece while Handrahan finished with a team-leading seven points on seven assists. Maddie Russell earned the win in the net for the Vikings, stopping three shots in the contest.
