ELMHURST, Ill – The Elmhurst women's soccer team dropped its third straight CCIW contest after falling 2-0 to Illinois Wesleyan University.
After winnings its CCIW opener against Augustana on September 28, the Bluejays have dropped three straight conference contests, falling to 1-3 in league play and 8-4 overall.

Illinois Wesleyan (6-4-2, 3-0 CCIW) got on the scoreboard in the 35th minute after ab Elmhurst clearing attempt by header came loose to Rosie Pettenuzzo in front of the net. Pettenuzzo found the back of the net to give the Titans a quick 1-0 lead.

The Titans padded their lead in the 58
th minute when Allison Seger scored on a low line drive shot from 25 yards away. An Elmhurst mistake led to a diving save off of Flower Edington's shot by Bluejays' keeper
Bryce Marchetti, but Kaitlyn Chen fired the rebound into an empty net to make the final score 3-0 in favor of the Titans.

Illinois Wesleyan outshot Elmhurst 17-7 in the contest, including a 12-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Emily Gordon played the opening half in net for the Bluejays and recorded three saves while allowing one goal.
Sophia Tuliglowski stopped four shots in 37 minutes of action while allowing one goal. Marchetti played the final eight minutes in goal, surrendering one goal while recording two saves.
Katie Deney earned the shutout for the Titans, stopping all four shots she faced.
