WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Elmhurst women's soccer team slipped to 8-7 following a 1-0 shutout loss at Carroll University.
Elmhurst's offensive woes continued as the Bluejays were kept off the scoreboard for the sixth straight contest.
Carroll (13-3, 4-1-1 CCIW) moved closer to securing a CCIW Tournament spot with the 1-0 victory. Rachel Van Sluys broke a scoreless tie in the 58th minute with a goal off a Delaney Pruitt assist.
The Pioneers held a slight 9-6 edge in shots and a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Emily Gordon took the loss in goal for Elmhurst, allowing just one goal while recording two saves. Christina O'Block earned the shutout for Carroll, recording six saves in the contest.
Elmhurst plays at the Illinois Institute of Technology on October 25.
