OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Elmhurst volleyball team closed out the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational with a pair of victories over Top-25 squads.
Elmhurst opened the day with a 25-20, 25-13, 25-21 win over #12 Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Bluejays wrapped up the day with an 18-25, 25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 15-11 victory over 19th-ranked Wisconsin-La Crosee.
ELMHURST 3, WHITEWATER 0 – Elmhurst avenged an early season loss to UW-Whitewater by dispatching the Warhawks in a three-set sweep.

Elmhurst finished the contest hitting .284, including .462 in the second set. The Bluejays totaled 35 kills and 12 errors in 81 attacks. Elmhurst registered 13 kills in the second set while committing just one error.
Alli Rogers totaled a team-leading nine kills while
Melissa Nava added eight for the Bluejays.
Hannah Nimrick and
Mel Lundin added six kills apiece while
Mary Lawrence totaled five. Nimrick added 27 assists in the victory while
Amy Schryver totaled a team-best 13 digs. Selene Ushel added nine digs and a match-high four service aces.
Alyssa Olson totaled four blocks for the Bluejays in the victory.

Whitewater was led by Lauren Pfeifer's 12-kill performance. No other Warhawk registered more than five kills as Whitewater hit .235 for the match with 31 kills and 12 errors in 81 attacks.
ELMHURST, 3, LaCROSSE 2 – The Bluejays exacted revenge against the Eagles for an early-season five-set loss by returning the favor and clipping UW-La Crosse in five sets.
Elmhurst finished the contest with 61 kills and 21 errors in 172 attacks, hitting .233 for the match. Four Bluejays reached double figures in kills with
Melissa Nava leading the charge with a team-high 14 kills to go with three blocks.
Mel Lundin and
Mary Lawrence added 12 kills and three blocks apiece while
Alli Rogers added 11 kills for the Bluejays.
Hannah Nimrick chipped in with six kills to go with 14 digs and a team-best 49 assists.
Amy Schryver led the squad in digs (27) and service aces (three) in the victory.
Hannah Davis added five kills and a pair of blocks for Elmhurst.

Lawrence and Nimrick were both named to the all-tournament team for their performance over the two-day event.

UW-La Crosse finished the match hitting .242 with 57 kills and 18 errors in 161 swings. Stephanie Henk and Marissa Johnson combined for 36 kills in the loss. Henk tallied 21 kills and 15 digs while Johnson added 15 kills and eight digs. Maddie Entinger added 52 assists for the Eagles.
