DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's soccer team suffered its first CCIW loss of the season, falling 1-0 at Millikin University.

Elmhurst dipped to 8-2 overall and 1-1 in the CCIW while Millikin improved to 5-3-1 overall and 1-1 in league play. 

Millikin's Taylor Copp scored off of a Lucy Koger corner kick in the 52nd minute to account for the game's only goal. 

The Bluejays outshot the Big Blue 11-3 overall, including a 9-2 edge in the second half, but the squad could not crack the scoreboard, suffering their first shutout loss of the season.

Emily Gordon took the loss in goal for Elmhurst, surrendering one goal while recording one save in almost 54 minutes. Sophia Tuliglowski finished up the final 36 minutes and did not face a shot. Millikin's Anna Benvenuto earned the win in goal for the Big Blue, registering four saves for the shutout.

Elmhurst hosts North Central College on Wednesday, October 5.
