Box Score WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Ben Havel tossed seven strong innings and also recorded three hits at the plate while helping to lead the Elmhurst baseball team to a 7-2 win over Hamilton College.

Ben Havel Hamilton grabbed a quick 1-0 lead with a run in the top of the first on Andew Haser's RBI double. An Elmhurst error in the fifth, helped Hamilton build a 2-0 cushion.
Havel put the Bluejays on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single, cutting Hamilton's lead in half.
The Bluejays broke through in the bottom of the eighth, taking advantage of an early two-base error on Hamilton.
A.J. Compton doubled home a run to even the score at 2-2.
Zach Tsiodras singled home a run to give Elmhurst its first lead of the game.
Greg Struck and
Kalvin Thongchamleunsouk both added run-scoring singles to give Elmhurst a 5-2 lead. Struck later stole home to put Bluejays up by four.
Elmhurst tacked on an insurance run in the eighth.
Reagan McReynolds singles to lead off the inning and then stole second base. A pair of wild pitches allowed McReynolds to come home to give Elmhurst a five-run cushion.
Havel and
Brandon Kressner totaled three hits apiece to lead the Bluejays' offense. Struck also collected two hits while Compton also scored a pair of runs.
Havel improved to 2-1 with the victory from the mound. He tossed six innings and limited Hamilton to only six hits and two runs (one earned). He walked one while fanning six.
Daryl Rivera finished up for the Bluejays, throwing two scoreless innings and allowing just one hit.
Elmhurst takes on Westminster College (Mo.) on Monday, March 23.
