ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Elmhurst volleyball team remained unbeaten in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin by scoring a three-set sweep over Augustana College.

Elmhurst, ranked 16th in the latest AVCA Division III poll, improved to 17-6 overall and 3-0 in the CCIW with a 25-18, 25-22, 25-22 win over the Vikings.

Elmhurst cruised to a 25-18 in the opening set before using late surges in the second and third set to put away Augustana (8-9, 1-3 CCIW).

Elmhurst hit .177 for the contest with 38 kills and 18 errors in 113 swings. Hannah Nimrick paced the Bluejays' attack, finishing two kills shy of a triple-double with eight kills, 21 assists and 13 digs. She added two aces and a pair of blocks in the victory.

Mary Lawrence added seven kills and three blocks while Mel Lundin and Hannah Davis tallied six kills apiece. Davis hit .500 for the match with no errors while also adding three blocks. Olivia Parks added five kills and Alli Rogers tallied four in the victory. Amy Schryver registered 17 digs in the victory. 

Augustana finished the contest hitting .091 with 25 kills and 16 errors in 99 attempts. Martha Murray tallied 12 kills and seven digs for the Vikings. Kylie Siebert finished with a team-leading 14 digs in the loss.

Elmhurst hosts Illinois Wesleyan University on Wednesday, October 14.
