BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's soccer team hung with No. 8 Illinois Wesleyan for 90 minutes, but fell to the Titans 1-0.
The Bluejays (7-5-1, 2-3 CCIW) had more shots on goal (6-5) than the Titans (16-1, 6-0 CCIW), even though Illinois Wesleyan led in total shots 15-9.
The Titans broke through for their lone goal in the 28th minute, when Sydney Fox scored off an assist from Amanda Kaiser.
Melinda Vickers made four saves in net for Elmhurst, while Katie Denney stopped six Elmhurst shots.
Elmhurst hosts North Park for its final home game of the season this Wednesday, October 28 at 5:00 p.m.
