NORTH CENTRAL 11, ELMHURST 2 - North Central used a five-run third inning and a four-run seventh inning to pull away for an 11-2 win in the first game of a doubleheader.

singled through the left side to drive in a run. A ground out from Struck plated a second run and Collins capped the inning with a run-scoring double.

The Cardinals cut the Bluejays' lead down to just one with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh, but a North Central error in the top of the ninth allowed Elmhurst to tack on an insurance run.
