Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. - A five-run outburst in the third inning helped lift the Elmhurst baseball team to a 7-4 CCIW victory over North Central College.
Elmhurst (7-15, 2-8 CCIW) fell behind 3-0 but the Bluejays sent 11 batters to the plate and scored five runs in the third to seize control of the contest.

After surrendering four runs through the first four innings, Theisen settled in and shut down the Cardinals for the remainder of the game. He allowed only two hits over the final five innings while not issuing a walk. He scattered nine hits and two walks over nine innings while fanning four.
North Central's Ben Krusen took the loss, surrendering six hits and seven earned runs in just four innings. Krusen walked three and struck out four.
Elmhurst and North Central will play a doubleheader tomorrow (April 12) in Naperville.
