Box Score 2 WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Elmhurst baseball team upped its record to 4-5 on the season by sweeping a doubleheader from Rochester Institute of Technology at the RussMatt Tournament in Florida.
Elmhurst won a pitcher's duell 4-1 in game one and the Bluejays' bats came to life in a 10-1 game two victory.
ELMHURST 4, RIT 1 - was hit by a pitch with two outs and the bases empty and
improved to 2-0 on the season with the victory. Nevarez tossed six innings and scattered just four hits and one run. He fanned three while not issuing a walk.
Erik Swanson pitched a scoreless seventh inning in relief for the Bluejays.
Elmhurst closes out the tournament by taking on Calvin College tomorrow.
