Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst baseball team hammered Millikin 20-7 in the opening game of a three-game series, upping its CCIW record to 3-2 in the process.
The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was halted due to rain and will be finished tomorrow. The game was tied at 0-0 in the top of the third when the game was stopped. The game will resume tomorrow (April 7) at 12:00 p.m. with the final game of the series to follow.
ELMHURST 20, MILLIKIN 7 - The Bluejays fell behind 7-3 after two and a half innings, but the Elmhurst bats exploded in the third, scoring nine times to blow the game open. The Bluejays added three runs in the fourth and five in the sixth to earn the 20-7 win in seven innings.
The Bluejays exploded for 18 hits in the win.
Zach Tsiodras was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate, leading the team with four runs scored and four driven in.

Greg Struck and
Tyler Wargo collected three hits apiece in the win. Evans scored three runs and drove in one while Wargo scored three times and finished with a pair of RBI. Struck drove in three runs and also scored a run.
Dave Wolak,
Luke Collins and
Tyler Facker each drove in two runs in the Elmhurst win.
Joe Ramirez earned the win in relief for Elmhurst. Ramirez worked 4.1 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed just one hit while striking out two.
