Box Score 2 XENIA, Ohio - The Elmhurst baseball team upped its record to 4-0 by sweeping a doubleheader from Capital University at the Athletes in Action Stadium.
The Bluejays took game one 5-4 in 10 innings and then battered Capital 16-4 in the second game of the doubleheader.
ELMHURST 5, CAPITAL 4 - The Bluejays fell behind 3-0 before rallying to score a 5-4 victory in 10 innings.
Trailing 3-0, the Bluejays scored a run in the sixth inning on a
Zach Tsiodras RBI single. Elmhurst surged in front with a three-run seventh inning.
Brian Marquis drove in run on a fielders choice and Tsiodras evened the score on a run-scoring single.
Luke Collins' walk with the bases loaded forced in a run and put the Bluejays on top.
Capital plated a run in the top of the ninth to send the game to extra innings.
Greg Struck led off the bottom of the 10th for the Bluejays with a pinch hit double. After a sacrifice bunt, pinch runner
Kevin Bellew scored the game-winning run on a passed ball.

Joe Kennedy and Tsiodras collected two hits apiece in the Bluejays' win. Marquis also scored a pair of runs for Elmhurst.
Jordan Hanlon made the start for the Bluejays and took a no-decision, working seven innings and scattering eight hits and one walk. Hanlon surrendered just three runs and struck out two.
Erik Swanson earned the win in relief, pitching a perfect 1.1 innings and retiring all four batters he faced.
ELMHURST 16, CAPITAL 4 - The Bluejays scored in five different innings en route to the 12-run victory.
Trailing 3-2 after one inning, Elmhurst scored two in the third, three in the fourth, five in the fifth and four in the seventh to blow the game open.
Tsiodras had a monster day at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with two doubles and a triple while driving in seven runs.
Dave Wolak added a pair of hits and cracked a three-run homer in the fourth inning. He also scored a team-leading four runs in the win. Evans and
Tyler Wargo added two hits apiece in the victory.
Jeff Guzzi worked four innings and took the win, allowing five hits and three earned runs while striking out one.
Elmhurst hosts Eureka College next Sunday (March 17).
