ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's tennis team fell to 0-6 on the season after dropping an 8-1 decision to Carthage College.

Carthage improved to 2-3 overall (2-2 in the CCIW) while Elmhurst dropped to 0-3 in league play.

Annie Duggan scored Elmhurst's only win at No. 1 singles, defeating Bari Reynolds 6-4, 6-1. Carthage's Haleigh McPeek downed Nicole Darga 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles while Erin Hendrickson downed Lauren Kuehn 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. Abbi Howell finished No. 4 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Ragan Wilson and Kirsten Peterson downed Brittany Kuehn 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 at No. 5 singles. Jennifer Guenther dropped a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Holly Weber at No. 6 singles.

In doubles play, Carthage's Reynolds and McPeek downed Darga and Brittany Kuehn 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Howell and Hendrickson toppled Duggan and Lauren Kuehn 8-2. Peterson and Weber toppled Wilson and Guenther 8-2 at No 3 doubles.
