ROCK ISLAND, Ill - The Elmhurst College women's tennis team slipped to 0-5 on the season after falling 9-0 at Augustana College.

Augustana (6-1) swept all six singles matches and the three doubles matches to earn the win.

Kim Sawyer opened singles play with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Annie Duggan. Emily Kaczmarek downed Nicole Darga 6-2, 6-2 at No.2 singles while Krista Panko defeated Lauren Kuehn 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Aileen MacDonald downed Ragan Wilson 6-1, 6-1 at No.4 singles and Mariah Bardo followed with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Birttany Kuehn at No. 5 singles. Katie Scharnagle finished singles playwith a 6-1, 6-1 win over Elmhurst's McKennah Lloyd at No. 6 singles.

In doubles action, Sawyer and MacDonald combined to defeat Darga and Brittany Kuehn 8-0 at No. 1 doubles. Chelsea Lavin and Miranda Pence scored an 8-4 win over the Bluejays' duo of Duggan and Lauren Kuehn at No. 2 doubles. Meghan Wethington and Panko defeated Wilson and Jennifer Guenther 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.
