Box Score SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Elmhurst College baseball team suffered its third straight defeat, falling to Dominican University 21-4 at the Schaumburg Boomers' Stadium.

Dominican (8-7) battered Elmhurst (8-5) pitchers for 21 runs and 22 hits in just seven innings. The Stars scored in the first five innings, including 10 runs in the third inning to blow the game open.

Zach Tsiodras led the Bluejays at the plate with two hits and an RBI. Brian Evans, Tim Nolan and Eric Stevenson each drove in a run in the loss. Joe Kennedy scored a pair of runs for Elmhurst.

Brian Marquis (1-1) made the start and took the loss for the Bluejays. Marquis was tagged for 10 hits and nine runs (six earned) in 2.1 innings of work.

The Bluejays' defense committed eight errors, leading to seven unearned runs for the Stars.

Elmhurst will look to snap its three-game slide on Saturday when the Bluejays open CCIW play by hosting Augustana College at Butterfield Park.
