Elmhurst College Baseball
Elmhurst (13-16, 3-12 CCIW) trailed 3-1 after two innings, but the Bluejays rallied for a one-run victory.

Trailing 3-2 in the eighth inning, Tyler Wargo led off the inning with a walk and Zach Hofer was hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second with no outs. A failed sacrifice forced Wargo out at third and a strikeout left the Bluejays down to just one out in the inning. A wild pitch moved Hofer and Dan Matkovic into scoring position and Bosco delivered a two-run single to left to give Elmhurst a 4-3 lead.

Bosco finished the game with two hits and drove in three of Elmhurst's runs. Dave Wolak, Alex Molek, and Wargo collected two hits apiece for the Bluejays. Wolak also drove in the Bluejays' fourth run.

After a shaky start, Marquis settled in and blanked  the Titans for the final seven innings. Marquis allowed only four hits for the final seven innings. He finished the game allowing only seven hits and two earned runs. He walked one and fanned two.

The Bluejays handed Titans' ace Jason Panku just his second loss of the season. Panku surrendered eight hits and four runs over 7.2 innings of work. He walked one and struck out eight.

Elmhurst hosts Illinois Wesleyan in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 29.
