WHEATON, Ill. - The Elmhurst College wrestling team upped its dual meet record to 2-0 by rolling past Wheaton College 33-6 in a CCIW dual.
Elmhurst (2-0) won eight of the nine matches that were wrestled. The Bluejays are currently ranked 14th in the latest NWCA Division III Coaches Poll.
Mark Johnson opened the dual with a 13-4 major decision over Wheaton's Tom Foy at 125 pounds.
Dalton Bullard followed with a 17-6 major decision over the Thunder's Caleb Cardenas at 133 pounds. The Bluejays'
Jake Denhof received a forfeit at 141 pounds to give Elmhurst a 14-0 advantage.
Wheaton earned its only points of the dual at 149 pounds when Brett Alfrey pinned Elmhurst's
Ryan Earley in 4:49.

Mike Grice scored a 7-1 victory over Matthew Cordell at 157 pounds and
Yousef Al-Ghoul followed with a 13-3 major decision over the Thunder's Cameron Fox at 165 pounds.
The Bluejays swept through the final four matches.
Danny Balderas upended Matt McCrary 10-3 at 174 pounds.
Joe Rau toppled Mitch Steed 7-3 at 184 pounds.
Mike McNeil scored a 6-3 victory over 10th-ranked Darren Faber at 197 pounds.
Brian Brooks closed out the dual with a 4-1 victory over Kyle Patton at 285 pounds.
Elmhurst hosts Augustana College next Wednesday (November 30).
