ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's tennis team dropped to 4-5 overall and 1-4 in CCIW play following an 8-1 loss to Illinois Wesleyan University at the Brune Tennis Courts. 

Virginia Dallman scored Elmhurst's only point by rallying for a 4-6, 6-2, 11-9 victory over IWU's Helen Alex at No. 1 singles. The Titans' Andrea Kerwin downed Stephanie Ruff 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Liz Exo upended Elmhurst's Rebecca Davis 6-1, 6-7, 8-6 at No. 3 singles. Alexis Ross suffered a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Cassie Devore at No.4 singles while Emily Tarlini fell to Alissa Goetz 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. Lauren Drawbridge toppled Elmhurst's Ragan Wilson 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.

Illinois Wesleyan swept all three doubles matches with Alex and Kerwin combining to defeat Dallman and Ruff 8-2 at No. 1 doubles. Devore and Exo teamed to defeat Ross and Davis 8-5 at No. 2 doubles while Goetz and Drawbridge defeated the duo of Wilson and Tarlini 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.

Elmhurst hosts Saint Joseph's College on Monday, September 27.
