ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's tennis team won its second consecutive match by defeating Millikin University 9-0 at the Brune Tennis Courts.

Elmhurst improved to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the CCIW with the victory. The Bluejays swept four singles matches and a pair of doubles matches to earn the victory. Millikin (1-4, 0-2 CCIW) did not field players at No. 5 and No 6 singles and the Big Blue had no No.3 doubles team.

The Bluejays did not drop a single game in singles play with Virginia Dallman earning a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kelsy Whitney at No. 1 singles. Rebecca Davis followed with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles over Michelle Micor. Alex Stark toppled Sarah Kidwell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Emily Tarlini blanked Brianna Hogan 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.

In doubles action, the Bluejays' duo of Dallman and Tarlini defeated Micor and Whitney 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. The team of Stark and Davis downed Kidwell and Hogan 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. 

Elmhurst hosts Carthage on Sunday, September 19.
