BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Elmhurst College baseball team slipped to 7-26 overall and 3-15 in the CCIW following a pair of losses at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Illinois Wesleyan (17-17, 11-7 CCIW) completed the three-game series sweep over Elmhurst by toppling the Bluejays 6-3 in game one. The Titans scored a 6-2 win over Elmhurst in the final game of the series.

ILLINOIS WESLEYAN 6, ELMHURST 3 (Game One) - Illinois Wesleyan's Brent Kulavic tossed a complete game and struck out nine while pitching the Titans to a 6-3 win over Elmhurst.

Trailing 3-2 after three innings, the Bluejays knotted the score in the fourth inning on Vince Mathe's RBI double. 

The tie didn't last long as Illinois Wesleyan surged in front with a run in the bottom of the fourth. The Titans tacked on insurance runs in the fifth and seventh inning to score the 6-3 victory.

Joe Kennedy recorded two hits and scored a pair of runs to pace Elmhurst in the loss.

Joe Luft took the loss for the Bluejays despite pitching a complete game. Luft surrendered nine hits and five earned runs over eight innings of work. 

ILLINOIS WESLEYAN 6, ELMHURST 2 (Game Two) - Illinois Wesleyan finished the series sweep by rallying for a 6-2 win over the Bluejays.

Trailing 2-1 after six innings, the Titans scored four times in the seventh inning to earn the victory. Casey McIntosh delivered a bases clearing three-run triple to put the Titans on top. 

Nick Herrera and Tim Nolan recorded two hits apiece in the loss.

Brian Marquis took the loss for the Bluejays after pitching 6.1 innings and allowing seven hits and five runs. 

Elmhurst hosts Carroll University in a doubleheader on Sunday, May 2.
