NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst College wrestling team, ranked 14th in the latest NWCA poll, fell to 9-2 in dual meet competition, following a 23-10 loss to sixth-ranked North Central College.
Jake Oster scored a 4-3 win at 125 pounds over Joe Norton to give the Bluejays a 3-0 lead. Jake Denhof followed with a 9-2 win over Sean Tomac at 133 pounds. But the Cardinals scored seven straight wins from 141 pounds through 197 pounds. Elmhurst's Mark Corsello accounted for the final points by scoring an 8-0 major decision over Billy Malone at 285 pounds.
Elmhurst travels to the Border Brawl at UW-Whitewater on Saturday, January 24.
