Education:
Sheehan was a member of the track & field team at North Central College from 2007-10. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from North Central in 2010. He completed a master’s degree in sport leadership from North Central in 2022.
Responsibilities:
Sheehan primarily works with the Elmhurst sprinters and hurdles squads.
Prior Experience:
Sheehan comes to Elmhurst after spending the past five seasons as a graduate assistant coach and assistant coach at North Central College. While at North Central, he oversaw the development of the training program for the women’s track team hurdlers. He also assisted in coaching the sprints and relays for the women’s track and field team while also overseeing the strength and conditioning program for the women’s track team. In his time at North Central, he helped coach five national qualifiers, four all-Americans and a national champion.
Sheehan began his collegiate coaching career at Anderson University, serving as an assistant track & field and cross country coach in 2015-16. He also served as an assistant track and field coach at St. Charles East High School from 2011-15 where he coached three state champions and 13 all-state performers.
