Responsibilities:
Mitchell is responsible for assisting the Elmhurst women's basketball program in recruiting and on-court performance.
Prior Experience:
Coach Mitchell joins Elmhurst University after spending the last 3 seasons as Head Coach at Community Christian College, a NJCAA in Redlands, California. Coach Mitchell has also been part of programs at both the High School and College ranks. He previously spent 3 seasons as an assistant coach at Saddleback College in California. Before joining the college ranks, Coach Mitchell paced the sidelines at Oceanside High School, El Camino High school, and Mission Bay High School in San Diego, California. Coach Mitchell has also spent the spring/summers coaching with Nike EYBL programs, the San Diego and Oakland Soldiers, before moving to the Lady Soldiers. His most recent stop was with West Coast Premier and WhyNot Premier, Nike EYBL programs out of Los Angeles, California. Specializing in player development and recruiting throughout his career, Coach Mitchell has helped over 50 high school athletes receive college scholarships and has had many reach the professional ranks.
