Tracie Adix-Zins

Tracie Adix-Zins joined the Bluejays' staff as head softball coach in September 2024.

Adix-Zins comes to Elmhurst after serving in the same capacity at DePaul University in Chicago for the past six seasons. With the Blue Demons, Adix-Zins led the program to three seasons of 20+ wins. She led her team to the BIG EAST Championship twice in her time in Chicago (2019, 2021) and one NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018, winning BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2021. Overall, Adix-Zins led the Blue Demons to a 125-133 overall record, and a 53-49 mark in BIG EAST play.

Prior to her time at DePaul, Adix-Zins had stints as an assistant at Wisconsin, Oklahoma State and North Carolina State, and served as a graduate assistant coach at South Dakota State.

A standout player herself, Adix-Zins attended DePaul University and helped lead the Blue Demons to a 2007 Women's College World Series appearance with a 22-4 record in the circle. As a player, Adix-Zins was named an NCAA Second Team All-American, First Team All-Mideast Region, and BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year honoree in 2007, along with being a second team all-region winner in 2005. 

A native Edmonds, Washington, Adix-Zins earned a Bachelor's degree in communications from DePaul in 2007 and a Master's degree in sports pedagogy from South Dakota State. Adix-Zins and her husband, Ryan, have two daughters, Ava and Piper, and reside in Medinah, Illinois.
