Jordan Bartolazzi

Jordan Bartolazzi is in his fifth season as Elmhurst's Director of Cross Country and Track & Field in 2023-24. This marks his eighth year overall at Elmhurst after after leading the women's cross country and track and field programs for three seasons.  

Last season, Bartolazzi coached the women's cross country team to its first CCIW Championship since 2003. Elmhurst cruised to the team title with 30 points. The Bluejays' top-five runners all placed in the top-10 to earn first-team all-conference accolades in the process. Three Bluejays earned all-region honors at the NCAA Midwest Regional the following week. During the track and field season, he led the women's team to second-place team finishes at both the CCIW Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Ava David earned All-America honors in the 200 meters during the indoor season. During the outdoor season, both the men's and women's team were represented at the NCAA Championships. Braxston Redmond qualified in the 400 meters for the men while David (200 meters and 4x100 relay), Emily Gilligan (steeplechase), Nakala Nadeau (100 hurdles), Huda Hussaini (4x100 relay), Hanna Matuszewski (4x100 relay) and Karmyn Flesh (4x100 relay) all represented the women's team. 

Bartolazzi took over the women's program in 2017-18. Under his direction in the fall of 2017, the women's cross country squad placed eighth in the CCIW and 24th in the region, where all seven runners ran season bests. In his second season as head coach, Bartolazzi guided Elmhurst to a fifth-place finish in the CCIW and a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Regional, an improvement of three and nine spots, respectively. Elita Spadlowski and Emily Gilligan both earned all-conference honors in cross country during the 2018 season. In 2019, the Bluejays finished third at the CCIW Championships with Jami Lessila and Elita Spadlowski both earning all-conference honors. Lessila went on to earn all-region honors for the Bluejays as well. 

During the track and field season of 2018, Bartolazzi led Elmhurst to an eighth-place finish at the CCIW Indoor Championships. Emily Gilligan became the first all-conference pole vaulter at Elmhurst in over 15 years. Bartolazzi's outdoor track team finished in ninth place with Gilligan earning all-conference honors in the 800 meters. In 2019, the Bluejays placed eighth at both the indoor and outdoor CCIW Championships. During the indoor season, Gilligan won the mile run, becoming just the second Bluejay in school history to win the event. Brianna Raysby (high jump) and Jami Lessila (800 meters) both earned all-conference honors during the indoor season. Three new school records were set and 2019 Bluejays cracked the Elmhurst top-10 lists in 34 places during the indoor season. At the outdoor meet, Gilligan (1,500 meters), Raysby (high jump), Mallory Burke (high jump), Natalia Hernandez (steeplechase) and Yasmin Chavez (100 meters) all earned individual all-CCIW accolades. The Bluejays broke into the top-10 records books 23 times during the outdoor season. 

In the 2020 Indoor track season, the women's squad placed eighth with nine Bluejays earning all-conference honors. Huda Hussaini earned all-conference honors in the 60 meters and 200 meters, setting school records in both events. Hanna Matuszewski added an all-conference honor in the 60 meters while Ava David earned all-conference recognition in the 400 meters. Spadlowski earned all-conference accolades in the 3,000 and 5,000 meters while Emily Clausen earned the first all-conference honor of her career in the 3,000 meters. Briana Raysby and Amanda Lams earned all-CCIW accolades in the jumps as well. 

In his first season coaching the men's cross country and track and field teams, Bartolazzi directed the Bluejays to an eighth-place finish at the 2019 cross country championships. During the 2020 indoor track season, the men's team finished ninth while Matt Tobin (pole vault) and Andrew Matuszewski (800 meters) earned all-conference honors for Elmhurst. 

During the pandemic shortened season of 2021, he coached 12 members of the women's track and field team to all-conference honors during the outdoor season. Emily Gilligan captured the CCIW Championship in the steeplechase as well. 

A 2015 graduate of Elmhurst, Bartolazzi competed on both the men's cross country and track and field squads in his time as a Bluejay. Most recently, he served as senior admission counselor at Elmhurst, where he helped oversee the College's recruiting efforts of all student-athletes.

Bartolazzi and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Villa Park with their daughters, Amelia and Mabel and son, Arlo.
