Will Jung, a former Elmhurst College standout, is entering his third season as an assistant coach with the Bluejays.
As a staple at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles, Jung helped propel the Bluejays to back-to-back CCIW Championships in 2013 and 2014 as well as Elmhurst's first trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2014. Individually, Jung was a four-time all-conference selection, including first-team honors in his junior and senior seasons. He was also named the CCIW Tournament MVP in 2011 and 2012.Â
Jung finished his career a 59-37 doubles record, mostly teaming with Alex Harbert. In May of 2012, Jung and Harbert reached fifth in the ITA Central Region Doubles Poll. The duo's 48 victories rank them second in Elmhurst history in wins by a doubles pairing.Â
In singles play, Jung finished with a 47-42 mark. He ranks second in Elmhurst history with 40 victories at No. 2 singles and was named the CCIW's No. 2 singles champion in 2014.Â
Jung graduated from Elmhurst with a bachelor's degree in May of 2014.Â
