Jason Foreman is entering his first year as the head men's tennis coach at Elmhurst College.
Foreman took over the programs after former men’s and women’s head coach Aaron Rusnak left the College to pursue other opportunities.
Foreman, a 2013 Elmhurst College graduate, was a member of the Bluejays’ tennis team from 2009-12.
“We are pleased to welcome Jason Foreman to provide leadership to the men’s tennis program,” said Elmhurst Director of Athletics Paul Krohn. “As an alumnus of the College, Jason is excited about this opportunity and brings his passion for the College into this role. Highest moral and ethical values, together with his competitive spirit and acumen for the game, will allow him to build the program to experience respected levels of success.”
Following his playing career at Elmhurst, Foreman taught tennis at Courts Plus in Elmhurst while also teaching private tennis lessons and working at various tennis camps. He earned a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2017 and currently works as an associate pastor at Pathway Community Church.
“I'm excited about a lot of the opportunities that lie ahead for the team,” said Foreman. “I am looking forward to helping each player on the team grow in their skill set as a tennis player, but even more importantly I'm looking forward to helping them grow as men. College is an incredibly formative time for young adults and it is an honor to have the opportunity to coach and mentor the student-athletes on our roster. I believe with enough practice, discipline and some more opportunities in the fall and early spring, we’ll be able to win more matches than we did last year. Long term, I want to make our team known for having the highest quality players and highest quality men in the CCIW and Division III.”
Foreman and his wife, Jessica, reside in Villa Park.
