ELMHURST, Ill. – Wrapping up the dual portion of the schedule, Elmhurst Men's Wrestling would pick up a pair of victories on Friday afternoon, at the 2026 CCIW Duals, hosted inside R.A. Faganel Hall.

The Bluejays opened the day with a 35-3 victory over MSOE, before a narrow loss to Aurora, 21-18. Elmhurst rebounded in the final match of the day, 33-12 over Illinois Wesleyan.

In the first match with MSOE, Elmhurst would win seven of eight matchups, along with a pair of forfeits. Major decisions would come for Anthony Bitner at 157 (10-2), and Mataeo Blessing at 184 (10-1).

Against Aurora, the Jays would find themselves behind early, after dropping the first three matchups, but wins from Ryan Hinger (17-0), Bitner (8-4), and Nicholas Asllani (24-10) would even the score at 12-12. The Bluejays would lead 18-16 after victories from Blessing and Colin O'Neill, but a technical fall in the final match would secure the win for the visitors.

In the final match of the day, Illinois Wesleyan would tie the score at 6-6 with a fall before Elmhurst reeled off five straight victories to take control. Hinger and Bitner both earned their third win of the day, while Gabriel Martinez earned a major decision at 184, and Samuel Costello would win by forfeit at 285.

The Bluejays wrap up the dual season with a 6-2 record, and now prepare for next week's Pete Wilson Invitational, hosted by Wheaton on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30-31.
