NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Elmhurst would come up short in a dual for just the first time in nearly a calendar year, as the Bluejays took on North Central but fell, 44-3 on the road Thursday night.

The lone win for the Jays came in the opening bout, as freshman Alejandro Cordova won his matchup at 125, winning by decision to give Elmhurst the early lead.

Cordova has now won three straight matches, equaling his season-long win streak during the Millikin Open in November. The Round Lake, Ill. native now has 11 victories on the season.

The Bluejays now return home for this weekend's Al Hanke Invitational, as Elmhust will host 13 other programs inside R.A. Faganel Hall on Saturday, January 17, with the tournament kicking off at 9 a.m.
