Jays Drop CCIW Opener to Thunder

RECAP

ELMHURST, Ill.- The Elmhurst University women's soccer team hosted Wheaton College Saturday evening in their CCIW opener, falling 2-0.

Elmhurst (5-5-2, 0-1-0 CCIW) was unable to continue their offensive momemtum from the previous two games, tallying just six shots on the evening, and none on goal.

Wheaton (4-6-0, 1-0-0 CCIW) tallied both of their goals in the second half, with Grace Crowder heading the ball into the net off a Kate Creighton cross in the 63rd minute, and Emily Setran scored just three minutes later to make it 2-0 for the visitors.

UP NEXT

The Bluejays will hit the road for a CCIW contest against Carroll next Wednesday, OCt. 2 at 5:00 pm.
