Elmhurst Ill. - The Elmhurst women's basketball team ended their season in a 81-85 loss to #19 Carroll in win-or-go-home game.
Bluejays (12-13, 6-10 CCIW), were led by
Tyreshia Sessions as she scored 19 points, and
Lindsay Novak who put up 17 of her own.
#19 Pioneers (19-4,12-2 CCIW), was led by the combination of Natalie Gricius and Emilie Wizner who put up 20 and 19 points.
It was a slow start for both teams as the first quarter would come to an end with the Bluejays leading by two, 17-15. The scoring started to pick up in the second but both teams would remain in a deadlock at the end of the half. Both teams would score their most points in the third quarter as Carroll would add on 28 points with the Bluejays following adding 24 of their own making it 64-60 in favor of Carroll. In the tight fourth quarter the Pioneers would just be able to handle the Bluejays ending the game 81-85.
