ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's soccer team hosted the Wheaton College Thunder in the CCIW Quarterfinals on Saturday night. 

Bluejays (9-9-2, 4-4 CCIW), goals came from Olivia Trivedi assisted by MaiLei Garcia in the 8', and Courtney Conlon assisted by Ellie Muscarello in the 89'. In goal, Erin Fitzharris would make nine saves on the night. 

Thunder (7-10-2, 3-4-1 CCIW), had goals scored by Lily Lindquist assisted by Grace Crowder in the 2', Mia Blair in the 8', and Emily Setran assisted by Mia Blair , Elizabeth Clawson in the 41'. 

The Thunder started the game of strong scoring in the second minute of play taking an early 1-0 lead via a Lindquist solo run on a through ball from Crowder. The Thunder would then strike again as Blair would curl one over Fitzharris from just inside the 18 yard box to take a 2-0 lead. Trivedi and the Jays would answer right back as sche scored an absolute wonder goal from over 25 yards out to make it 2-1.  Late into the half the Thunder would strike once again to make it 3-1 from the help of Setran as she would knock in a loose ball in the box. The Thunder would have 12 shots in the first half compared to the Bluejays one shot. The Bluejays would have some great chances in the second half and were able to capitalize late in the 89' via Conlon on a great pass into the box by Muscarello. But it wasn't enough as the Wheaton was able to win and advance to the Semifinals with a 3-2 win.
