Kenosha Wis. - The Elmhurst women's basketball team traveled to Carthage College on Saturday afternoon, playing and winning a wild triple-overtime thriller, 91-88.
Bluejays (9-11, 3-8 CCIW), were led offensively by
Anna Kleszynski as she dropped 25 points in the Bluejay victory. Along with her were Kirstin Bukata who dropped 22 points,
Tyreshia Sessions (18),
Shanyce Makuei (10), and
Natalie Harty (10).
The Firebirds (11-8, 4-6 CCIW), were led by Lauren Knight as she scored 26 points, and Marianna Morrissey who recorded a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
It was a low scoring affair for a game that went to triple overtime with the game being tied going into the second-half at 26-26. In the second-half, the game would be tied at 59 going into overtime with 12 different lead changes in the fourth quarter. In the first overtime they would tie each at 70, then in the second overtime they would tie again at 80 with and a lead change with every basket. In the final overtime, the Bluejays would just pull ahead and win 91-88, to end an amazing game.

The Bluejays will return to CCIW action on January 31st as they will travel to Rock Island, Illinois to play Augustana College at 7:00 pm.
