Mount Vernon Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's soccer team drew, 1-1, in Wednesday evening's matchup at Cornell College.

The Bluejays (4-3-2) were lead in scoring by a Camila Rubio penalty kick goal in the 15th minute.The Bluejays also totaled 23 shots on the night, five of which came from both Ellie Muscarello and Courtney Conlon, and four from Rubio, adding on six corner kicks as well on the night. 

The Rams (0-4-3) were led in scoring by Amelia Brown who scored in the 20th minute.The Rams had 14 shots on the night with five coming from Brown. 

Both teams started out fast in the match with the Bluejays scoring first off of a penalty kick goal off of the foot of Rubio, then just minutes later the Rams scored an equalizer from Brown. From there both teams would go into the half tied 1-1. The Bluejays had many chances in the second half but were not able to capitalize on the momentum and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
