Rockford Ill. - The Elmhurst University Women's Basketball Team extended their win streak to two games as they defeated Rockford Saturday afternoon.
The Bluejays (3-2) were led offensively by two players,
Kristin Bukata and
Shanyce Makuei as they both dropped 12 points this afternoon. Bukata added four rebounds, four assists and one steal, while Makuei added five rebounds, one assists and for steals.
The Regents (1-2) were led by D'Asia Washington as she recorded a double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
After the first quater the Regents held a one point lead but the Bluejays would bounce back in the second quarter with a 27 point second quarter to take an 11 point lead into halftime. The Regents would chip away in the third quarter to drop the Bluejays lead down to five but the Bluejays wouldn't let the Regents get closer than that as they would close out the game as 72-61.
