ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's soccer team dropped its final contest of the 2022 season, 1-0, to Carthage College at Langhorst Field.

After a scoreless first half, both teams came out eager to put themselves on the board.

Five minutes into the second half, Carthage's Jenny Garcia netted the sole goal of the contest off of a pass from teammate Zaira Solis.

MaKenzee Velchek and Aleksia Vranjes combined for 11 saves for Elmhurst (0-16-0/0-8-0 CCIW), while Ainsley Stallworth earned the shutout in goal for the Firebirds (3-7-5/3-4-1 CCIW).
