ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 loss to Carroll University at Langhorst Field.
The Pioneers (8-2-1) scored their first goal in the 9
th minute of play when Elizabeth Weinberg crossed the ball to Grace Tumilty who netted her first of two goals of the night.
Simone Lippmann tallied the second goal of the game off of another cross by Weinberg less than two minutes into the second half.
Carroll would go on to score three additional goals in the remainder of the half on its way to a conference road win.
MaKenzee Velchek collected eight saves in nearly 66 minutes of action, while Caitlin Fitzsimons earned the win in goal for the Pioneers.
Elmhurst heads to North Park University for its next matchup on October 5 at 7:00 p.m.
