NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Elmhurst University wrestling team returned to action by posting a 3-0 record at the CCIW Duals hosted by North Central College.
 
Elmhurst scored wins over Carthage College, Lakeland College and Concordia University (Wis.). The Bluejays improved to 6-4 overall and 4-2 in the CCIW in dual meets.

ELMHURST 51, CARTHAGE 0 - Elmhurst opened with a 51-0 shutout win over Carthage College. Dominic Iannantone scored a 16-0 technical fall over Loren Semier at 125 pounds. Justin Hames followed with a 16-1 technical fall over Sebastian Rosales at 133 pounds. Jimmy McAuliffe scored a win by pin over Cole Nelson at 141 pounds. Zach Kolb added a 3-1 victory over River Rogers at 149 points while Jaden Morgan earned a forfeit win at 157 pounds.
 
Jeff Nugent scored a first-period pin over Collin Ruiz at 165 pounds while Joe Caringella followed with a 15-4 major decision over Kobe Gilbert at 174 pounds. Scott Anderson needed just 1:51 to pin Devin Rogers at 184 pounds while David Ortiz scored a fall over Sheldon Earnest in 2:21 at 197 pounds. Roberto Pena closed out the dual with an 11-3 major decision over Mason Kochersperger at 285 pounds.
 
ELMHUSRT 56, LAKELAND 0 – Elmhurst swept its second straight dual toppling Lakeland College 56-0.
 
Iannantone scored a 15-0 technical fall over Tritan Supernaw at 125 pounds. Hames scored a first-period pin over Coleman Burgess at 133 pounds. McAuliffe earned a forfeit win at 141 pounds and Kolb followed with an 8-2 decision over Aleksander Pejovski at 149 pounds. Morgan and Nugent earned forfeits at 157 pounds and 165 pounds, respectively. Caringella pinned Tyler Lovejoy in 49 seconds at 174 pounds while Norbert Crecan pinned Chad Cowart in 1:26. Ortiz pinned Nidal Farah in 1:38 in the final match of the dual as Pena earned a forfeit win at 285 pounds.
 
Elmhurst wrestles at the Pete Wilson Invitational at Wheaton College on January 28-29.
