Box Score The Elmhurst women's basketball team's season came to a close with a 77-52 loss to Illinois Wesleyan University in the quarterfinals of the CCIW tournament.

Despite shooting 41 percent (5-of-12) in the opening quarter, the Bluejays (3-10) got off to a slow start in the first quarter and trailed the Titans (5-3) 29-14 after 10 minutes. After a back-and-forth second quarter Illinois Wesleyan carried a 16-point lead into the locker room (45-29).

The Titans extended their lead in the third quarter and led the Bluejays 66-40 after 30 minutes. Illinois Wesleyan closed the book on Elmhurst's season, winning 77-52 and advancing to the semifinals of the 2021 CCIW Tournament.

Elmhurst was led by Courtney O'Donnell's 15 points and three rebounds. Marissa Urso added 12 points and six rebounds. Taylor Harazin and Peyton Schmidt combined for 10 points and six rebounds. Elena Cabrera and Mia Riese also combined for 15 rebounds on the night. The Bluejays shot 30 percent (20-of-67) from the field, 18 percent (5-of-28) from beyond the arc, and 47 percent (7-of-15) from the free throw line.

The Titans were led by Kendall Sosa's 18 points and six rebounds. Samantha Munroe added 18 points and four rebounds. Samantha Munroe recorded six points and 11 rebounds while Catie Eck tallied nine points and seven rebounds. Illinois Wesleyan shot 41 percent (30-of-74) from the field, 31 percent (9-of-29), and 89 percent (8-of-9) from the foul line.
