DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst University wrestling team opened the 2021-22 season with a 44-6 dual meet loss at Millikin University. 

Millikin, the defending CCIW Champion, won nine of the 10 contests and took six victories by pin, including five in the first round. 

The Bluejays' Jimmy McAuliffe, the NWCA Division III National Champion last season, opened the year with a victory. McAuliffe scored all of the Bluejays' dual meet points by pinning Millikin's DJ Millett with 11 seconds remaining in the opening period. 

Elmhurst hosts Augustana College in a CCIW dual next Thursday, November 11.
