The Elmhurst Women's soccer team tied Kalamazoo College 1-1 in the Bluejays' home-opener at Langhorst Field.

The Details:

• In the 25th minute of the match Julie Zabik found the top right corner of the net on a free kick to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead.
• Just before halftime, Sophia Senese sent a crossing pass to Gabby Ketola on a breakaway, where she found the back of the net to tie things up at 1-1.
• For the second half, both defenses battled hard to keep it a scoreless at the end of regulation.
• The match extended to two periods of overtime where neither team were able to find the back of the net.
• Both teams recorded 16 total shots a piece and the Bluejays held a 7-5 edge for corner kicks.
• Sophia Tuliglowski totaled nine saves, while the Hornets Hannah Wolfe totaled six saves on the day.
