WHEATON, Ill. – The Elmhurst women's soccer team closed the book on its 2018 season with a 3-0 loss to Wheaton College in the CCIW Tournament semifinals.

Wheaton (16-3) scored just 1:13 into the contest and tacked on two goals in the second half to punch its ticket to the CCIW Tournament Finals. Madison Peebles scored of a Chelsea Gnan cross in the second minute to put Wheaton in front 1-0. The Thunder led 1-0 at the half after outshooting Elmhurst (9-6-2) 7-0 in the first 45 minutes.

Wheaton doubled its lead to 2-0 in the 58th minute when Jensen Ellis scored off an assist from Peebles. Isabelle Oliver added an insurance goal in the 80th minute to make the final score 3-0 in favor of the Thunder.

Wheaton outshot Elmhurst 16-3 and held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
Sophia Tuliglowski made the start in goal and took the loss, surrendering two goals and recording two saves in 78 minutes.
Bryce Marchetti finished up in net, allowing one goal.
