With the score tied at two in the 88th minute, Megan Hart drilled a jumping header off of an Anna Garritano corner kick, giving the Bluejays their first lead of the game.

Bethel scored two first-half goals to take the early advantage. Mikala Smith (30th minute) and Sydney Wright (38th minute) both netted their second of the season.

The Elmhurst comeback began in the 59th minute when Emily Heimerdinger scored off Garritano's first assist. Kat Waugh pulled the Bluejays even with a 78th minute score. Briana Small added the assist on Waugh's game-tying goal. Those two goals set up Hart's late-game herotics.

Elmhurst out shot the Royals 9-6 in the contest. Emily Gordon earned the win for the Bluejays, while Kathryn McGaffey stopped three shots in taking the loss.

The Bluejays look to finish their road swing at a perfect 3-0 mark when they travel to Monmouth College (Ill.) on Wednesday, September 9.
