Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn.  – In their final tuneup before the conference season, the Elmhurst College women's soccer team fell to Rhodes College 4-1.

The Lynx (5-3-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead before the Bluejays (6-3) found the net. 

Rhodes took the lead in the third minute. Angie Hurlow ripped a shot from the right side of the box that found the net. The Lynx added to their lead ten minutes later when Elizabeth Wayda found the far upper 90. 

After halftime, the Lynx extended their lead to 4-0. In the 56th minute, Hannah Selner challenged Elmhurst keeper Melinda Vickers and beat her to the ball, putting her team up 3-0. Rhodes' midfielder Emma Selner scored in the 64th minute to pad the lead. 

The Bluejays found the scoreboard as time expired. Sydney Zeig scored her first goal of the season unassisted.

Rhodes outshot Elmhurst 19-9 in the contest. Vickers made five saves for the Bluejays, while Emily Gordon recorded two. Chandler Kuhlman made three saves for the Lynx. 

Elmhurst opens CCIW play by traveling to Wheaton College Friday, October 3.
