Box Score FULTON, Mo. - The Elmhurst women's basketball team won its second straight contest to open the season by hammering Greenville 69-47 at the CCIW/SLIAC Challenge at Westminster, Mo.
Elmhurst scored the game's first bucket and never trailed in the contest. The Bluejays outscored Greenville 2-3 over the game's first 10 minutes and led 34-20 at the half.
The Bluejays led by as many as 30 points in the second half and coasted to the 22-point victory.
Elmhurst shot 41.9 percent (26-of-62) from the floor, including 22.2 percent (4-of-18) from downtown. Greenville shot only 25.0 percent (12-of-48) from the field in the loss.
Melanie Schwerdtmann led the Bluejays with a career-high 21 points, shooting 9-of-14 from the floor and adding six rebounds in the win.
Fiona McMahon recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Kim Schwerdtmann scored eight points apiece for the Bluejays in the win.
Coley Baker led Greenville in the loss with 12 points.
The Bluejays will look for their third straight win when they travel to Dominican University on Wednesday, November 20.
