Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's soccer team slipped to 7-5 overall and 1-2 in CCIW play after dropping a 4-0 contest to top-ranked Wheaton College.

Wheaton's Val Lelle put the Thunder on the scoreboard with her first goal of the season just 13:20 into the match. Lelle chipped a long cross from Syndey Sharkey over Elmhurst keeper Emily Gordon and into the back of the net. Wheaton made it 2-0 13 minutes later when Kristin Rauh scored off a feed from Annie Wooldridge. The Thunder opened up a three-goal cushion in the first half after Lelle knocked home a rebound for her second goal of the game.

Wheaton tacked on a goal in the second half on Mary Pettit's header from a cross from Wooldridge.

Wheaton (12-0-1, 3-0 CCIW) outshot Elmhurst 24-10 in the contest.

Emily Gordon recorded eight saves for the Bluejays while Mary Daghfal stopped three shots for the Thunder.

Elmhurst hosts North Park University on October 16.
