Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's soccer team matched a 10-year old school record for goals scored by hammering Eureka College 11-0 at Langhorst Field.
The Bluejays outshot Eureka 51-3 and scored eight times in the first half and tacked on three goals in the second half.
Jackie Belmonte netted a hat trick, scoring three consecutive goals in the first half while also totaling an assist.
Amy Baschen found the back of the net twice and also registered a pair of assists to total six points.
Morgan Geimer added a pair of first half goals while
Sydney Goushas scored her first collegiate goal in the opening half to help Elmhurst build an eight-goal cushion at the half.
Louise Resse, Kayla Pickens and
Emily Heimerdinger all registered their first collegiate goal in the second half to help the Blujeays pull away. Heimerdinger added two assists to finish with four points.
Jordin Clark and
Anna Garritano added two assists apiece in the victory.
Maddie Fitzpatrick and
Olivia Schoch each played a half in goal to combine for the shutout. Schoch recorded a pair of saves in the second half.
Sami Williamson took the loss in net for Eureka, allowing 11 goals while recording 17 saves.
The Bluejays' 11 goals matched Elmhurst's single-game record for goals scored set against St. Mary's University during the 2002 season.
Elmhurst opens a four-game road trip by traveling to Webster University on Saturday, September 8.
