Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's soccer team fell to 0-2-1 in CCIW play after dropping a 3-1 contest to Illinois Wesleyan University at Langhorst Field.

Elmhurst (6-4-2 overall) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute when Samantha Perry scored her first goal of the season. Morgan Geimer played a free kick short to Perry, who carried the ball to the edge of the box and lined a blast into the back of the net.

The Blueays' lead lasted only 31 seconds as Emily Hinchman headed home an Alex Paripilo free kick to knot the score at 1-1.

Hinchman put the Titans on top in the 55th minute as she collected a deflected ball and beat Elmhurst keeper Maddie Fitzpatrick, who had come out of the net to challenge the play.

Illinois Wesleyan (6-5, 3-0 CCIW) put the game out of reach in the 87th minute when Tillie Bill volleyed the ball past Fitzpatrick to put the Titans up 3-1.

Illinois Wesleyan outshot Elmhurst 12-11 in the contest. Elmhurst had a 2-1 edge in corner kick.

Fitzpatrick stopped eight shots while taking the loss for the Bluejays. Zoie Samaan recorded four saves and allowed one goal while earning the win for the Titans.

The Bluejays play host to Dominican University on Tuesday (October 9).
